BayernKI resources have been available at LRZ and NHR@FAU for one year now for research purposes. Additionally, users were able to take advantage of numerous training opportunities at both centers.
Now that a year has passed, it’s the best moment to reflect on the journey so far and the perception of the offerings at the universities. The state-funded infrastructure has quickly established itself as a key AI platform within Bavaria’s research landscape, offering about 300 GPUs—or, more precisely, NVIDIA H100 processors with 94 gigabytes of HBM2e memory.
