In June, Nicolay Hammer (Head of the Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Team at LRZ) gave a presentation at the MCML Pre-AI Day Workshop about the joint efforts of LRZ and NHR@FAU running BayernKI to support scientific AI in Bavaria.
The workshop was held on June 22 in Munich as part of the MCML Munich AI Day 2026 organized by the Munich Center for Machine Learning (MCML). The audience consisted mainly of MCML researchers, who represent an important target group for AI resources in order to advance their research work.
Working Hand in Hand for HPC & AI in Bavaria
As part of his presentation, Nicolay Hammer introduced the audience to the central infrastructure of BayernKI and the available compute resources on the individual clusters.
Also, he introduced the simple registration process of BayernKI as well as the support service and showed the joint team of experts that underpins our technical support and training programs.
