BayernKI visiting Augsburg für Workshop “AI infrastructure for researchers in Bavaria”

Bavaria is an AI hotspot, but AI research needs reliable access to infrastructure, and that’s where BayernKI enters the stage. This week the NHR@FAU joined the workshop “AI infrastructure for researchers in Bavaria” at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg (THA). The aim of the event was to provide information about AI infrastructure in Bavaria, to identify the needs of AI researchers and to support networking in the Bavarian AI community.

NHR@FAU Director Prof. Dr. Gerhard Wellein attended the event as a guest speaker, together with the AI support members Martin Mayr and Sebastian Wind. The talk highlighted how to access BayerKI’s AI resources and showcased examples of how BayerKI’s support empowers AI researchers. Following the main program, all participants were invited to a get-together in the garden to network, discuss opinions on AI research, and more.

We would like to thank Prof. Dr. Björn Häckel, Prof. Dr. Frank Danzinger and Prof. Dr. Clemens Espe for the invitation and the great opportunity to exchange insights!
