The Nürnberg Digital Festival is an annual event that took place from June 30 to July 9 with several events, talks, and get-togethers in and around Nuremberg, all focusing on the topic of digitization.
The NHR@FAU was also involved with AI Support Team member Sebastian Wind hosting a workshop on “Training LLMs for German tax consultancy with HPC infrastructure“, including hands-on elements. It featured a demonstration of the domain-specific large language model “SteuerGPT” (German for “TaxGPT”), its training on HPC clusters, evaluation methods, and practical application examples. The participants also got to try out the large language model and see its capabilities firsthand. We were glad to see that the workshop had a number of interested experts, especially from the financial sector, in attendance.
